Terra Cotta is one of the oldest types of cookware dating back
ancient times. Many kitchens in Spain and the Mediterranean are never
without these “pots of the earth”.
Terra Cotta provides a healthy cooking because it requires no
addtion fats to be used. This type of cookware retains heat well after
it has been removed from the heat source. Since the pots are presoaked
in water before used for cooking, meats are tenderized while the pot
evaporates the water in the oven. All items are partial or full glazes.
Great for items cooked at low heat. Safe for use over gas and
electric burners, convention and microwave oven use. Can be cleaned in
a dishwasher however it is recommended to hand wash.
